My passion for helping others has drawn me to become a Designer with ShelfGenie. As a former teacher, and as a parent, I value the importance of organization and quick access to the things in our home. Being organized allows me more time for the things I enjoy in life. I enjoy being able to spend more time with my family and traveling. Because I see the difference ShelfGenie can make in my life, I want to provide the same opportunity for my clients. As a certified designer, I would love to help you find more space, accessibility, and organization in your home so that you can spend more time doing what you love.

  • Denny Petfield

    Denny Petfield

    Designer

Joining ShelfGenie as a Designer was a later in life career change for Denny. Having a background in sales, training and sales management, he’s always relished a challenge and working hard to achieve the best outcome for all concerned. During his adult life, he’s had the opportunity and privilege to travel our great country and has worked in most of the states at some point. He’s lived in six of them. Each day brings an opportunity to meet new clients, hear their story and concerns, and work with them towards a winning solution. While away from work, Denny enjoys listening to music, both live and recorded. He’s done a weekly e-mail blast entitled the “This Week’s Friday Songs” for better than eight years now. It’s read and enjoyed by people from all walks of life from one end of the country to the other. He and his wife Kathy, also love checking out the great local restaurants and social activities here in Central Virginia. Of course, dearest to his heart is spending time with and spoiling his two grandchildren and grand dog. Attempting new recipes is yet another passion for him in their own kitchen. He professes he’s the better cook in the family, but his wife and especially his daughter, Lana (she’s a Certified Executive Pastry Chef) can bake rings around him! However, he said, “that’s okay, I get to eat all those great desserts!”

My gift for organization and 15+ years in space management affords me the ability to create personalized one-of-a-kind solutions. I’ve traveled the country creating and optimizing with major retailers to enhance ease of shopping, increase sales and produce a visually pleasing shopping experience. Since then, I’ve enjoyed raising my 2 boys and a career in teaching. As a family we love baking, camping, playing games and decorating for the holidays. Our annual Halloween and Christmas displays have been shared around the world and draw thousands of visitors each year. My dedication to teaching goes beyond the classroom. It would be my pleasure to help you understand the benefits of a well-planned, easily accessible space and how it can impact so many facets of your life. Both my boys and my students keep me energized and always looking for better ways to stay organized and save time. ShelfGenie is exactly what this busy mom was looking for! I look forward to working with you to find the right Glide-Out solution to fit your family’s needs.
